Electricity consumption growth in the first five months, industrial and manufacturing electricity consumption slowed down

On the 21st, the China Electricity Council (CEC) revealed that from January to May, the growth rate of social electricity consumption increased year-on-year, and the growth rate of electricity consumption in the month fell from the previous month; the growth rate of electricity consumption in industry and manufacturing slowed down, manufacturing Daily average electricity consumption increased year-on-year.
In terms of provinces, from January to May, in addition to Gansu and Qinghai, the electricity consumption of all provinces in the country has achieved positive growth. Among them, the provinces with higher electricity consumption growth rate than the national average (4.9%) include: Tibet, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Hubei, Xinjiang, Anhui, Sichuan, Hainan, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hebei, Hunan, Ningxia, Chongqing and Liaoning.
From January to May, the national industrial electricity consumption reached 185.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. The growth rate dropped by 5.2 percentage points over the same period of the previous year, and the contribution rate to the whole society's electricity consumption growth rate was 33.9%. At the same time, the national manufacturing power consumption was 147.2 billion kWh, an increase of 3.3% year-on-year. The growth rate dropped by 4.3 percentage points over the same period of the previous year, and the contribution rate to the whole society's electricity consumption growth was 34.0%.
In the same period, the four high-energy industries used electricity growth year-on-year. From January to May, the electricity consumption of chemical raw materials, non-metallic mineral products, ferrous metal smelting and non-ferrous metal smelting industries increased by 3.0% year-on-year.
From January to May, except for hydropower and nuclear power, the growth rate of power generation of other power generation types has dropped; the cumulative utilization hours of power generation equipment in the country have decreased year-on-year, among which thermal power and nuclear power have decreased more; in the same period, the national cross-regional and inter-provincial The amount of electricity delivered continues to grow rapidly.
From January to May, the newly installed capacity of infrastructure construction in the country continued to decrease year-on-year, among which the newly installed capacity of solar power generation decreased more; the investment in power supply completed positively year-on-year, and the investment in power grid engineering decreased year-on-year.
