Deepening Cooperation in Energy and Serving the Construction of the belt and road initiative
On March 29, Xin Baoan, general manager of the State Grid Corporation of China, met with Eftah Langtal, chairman of the Israel Electric Power Company and his party in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on ubiquitous power Internet of Things and smart grid construction, clean energy development, scientific and technological innovation, and "the belt and road initiative" construction. They said they would further mutual benefit, deepen cooperation, build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, and promote win-win development. Deputy General Manager Liu Zehong attended the meeting.
On behalf of the State Grid Corporation, Xin Baoan welcomed Eftah Rhondal and his party and introduced the latest development of the company. Xin Baoan said that the company's strategic goal of "three types, two networks and world class" has created a broad space for future exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Israel's vision of promoting green energy development is in line with the development direction of State Grid Corporation. Building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system to better meet the needs of intensive development of power bases and large-scale grid-connected access of new energy, distributed energy, energy storage, interactive energy facilities and other fields cannot be separated from technological innovation in smart grid and other fields. The State Grid Corporation has made in-depth exploration and practice in ultra-high voltage transmission, smart grid construction, energy storage technology and green development, and has achieved good results. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen communication, deepen cooperation in relevant fields, give full play to their respective advantages and make greater contributions to the sustainable development of energy. At the same time, the State Grid Corporation has actively participated in the construction of "the belt and road initiative", successfully invested and operated backbone energy networks in the Philippines, Brazil, Portugal, Australia, Italy, Greece and other countries and regions, and deeply participated in the formulation of international standards. State Grid hopes to expand the depth and breadth of cooperation with Israel Electric Power Company under the "the belt and road initiative" initiative and build a bridge of friendship between the two peoples through tangible results.
Eftah Rhondal was deeply impressed by the company's outstanding achievements in large power grid operation, smart grid construction, scientific and technological innovation and international business. The "the belt and road initiative" initiative put forward by China has received extensive attention and support from the international community, and has also brought opportunities for energy cooperation between China and Israel. In recent years, Israel has made great efforts to develop natural gas power generation and renewable energy. It plans to stop using coal in 2030 and, together with other countries, is committed to shifting to cleaner energy. For this reason, Israel needs to strengthen the technological innovation in clean energy, smart grid and energy storage. State Grid Corporation is the world's leading innovative energy enterprise and an outstanding partner of Israel Electric Power Corporation. We hope to learn from the successful experience of State Grid Corporation and carry out practical cooperation in a wider range of fields to achieve win-win results.
Before the talks, Eftah Langtal and his party visited the National Electricity Dispatching and Control Center. Relevant personnel of the Israeli embassy in China and Israel power company, Zhu Guangchao, deputy chief engineer and director of the international department of the company, as well as principal officials of the Ministry of science and technology and the Ministry of industry of the national network attended the meeting.
