Up 75% from the same period last year, the total number of charging piles nationwide reached 953,000 units.
On May 13, the China Electric Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance released the operation data of charging piles for April 2019, showing that as of April 2019, the accumulated data of fast charging piles nationwide could reach 168,500 units.
In addition, data show that as of April 2019, a total of 391,000 public charging piles had been reported by member units of the charging alliance. Through the whole vehicle enterprises of the alliance members, the information of the pile of about 830,000 vehicles was sampled, of which 562,000 charging facilities were built along with the vehicles. Cumulatively, as of April 2019, the total number of public and private charging piles in the country was 953,000, up 75.2% year on year.
The charging piles in the country are mainly operated by seven enterprises such as special incoming calls (128,000 units), national network (88,000 units), star charging (79,000 units), Yiwei (20,000 units), SAIC Anyue (16,000 units), China Putian (14,000 units) and Shenzhen vehicle power grid (10,000 units), accounting for 90.9% of the total charging piles.
