Wang Manchang, director of the Management Committee of the National Offshore Wind Power Engineering Technology Research Center, said that by 2030, it is necessary to adopt a model of "concentrated development, long-distance transportation" and "distributed development, local consumption" to cope with the contradiction between supply and demand. .
Wang Manchang said that China's offshore wind power resources are abundant, its potential is huge, and it is close to the eastern load center, which is convenient for local consumption. Therefore, the development of offshore wind power will become an important strategic support for China's energy structure transformation.
It is understood that Europe has been vigorously developing offshore wind power since 2000. In 2018, the total installed capacity reached 18.5 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 84% of the total offshore wind power installed capacity, and has already turned from offshore to distant seas.
Huang Weimin, deputy general manager of Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Haizhuang Wind Power Co., Ltd. believes that China should launch the top-level design of the offshore power grid as soon as possible.
Huang Weimin said that we also need to work hard on offshore wind power in terms of overall, systemic policies, grid access and industrial system design to boost the high-quality development of China's offshore wind power.
